Currently using Unraid. I like the docker management, plugin support, and the flexibility with adding storage. But I do already have a lifetime license that I got for cheap a few years back. They’ve raised the price significantly since then
If I had to choose today, I’d go with TrueNAS Scale
I feel like the US at this point is a lost cause. The corpos have accumulated way too much lobbying power over the past few years. They will never allow real progressive candidates win major elections. Democrats now have to play the center in order to not upset the corporations. We lost our last real chance to make meaningful change with Bernie in 2016…
The United States has always been at war with Eastasia Ukraine
The Fallout London mod for Fallout 4 was incredible. It’s like a an entire new game for free. They really captured the spirit of the Fallout universe. Better than anything Bethesda put out in the past couple years
I self host my own SearXNG instance on a Oracle free tier 1core/1GB ram vps. It’s fast enough for me and it’s free
White Power - now sponsored by Amazon
I now want to see a fan edit where they replace just the English Smeagol voice with the Spanish language version
I found this user on deviantart created a ton of Stargate posters similar to this one.
I’m holding out for the pixel 9a. Supposedly it has a larger battery and no camera bump
I did this. I got about a 4c reduction on my t480 i7 when running geekbench. Well I also switched to honeywell ptm7950 thermal pad at the same time so not sure which change helped the temperatures the most.
You can get the dgpu heatsink and the thermal pad from AliExpress for about $30usd
Just make sure you tape off the underside of the dgpu heatsink so it doesn’t short out your motherboard. I used kapton tape
I just went through that. Authy no longer allows you to export 2FA. That firmly solidified my decision to leave their service.
I had to go to each website that had 2FA, go in and disable 2FA, and then add it again using my 2FA app.
The t480 was the last thinkpad with a useable CPU and a rich feature set (dual battery, removable battery, replaceable ram, ability to use a 2nd SSD via the wan slot). Linux support is great and libreboot support was just released for it.
I also have a newer amd x13 thinkpad. Sure the overall performance is better but the keyboard is not as good, s3 sleep battery drain sucks, and it takes forever to boot up
Lemm.ee had some scheduled downtime a few hours ago when it was upgrading to the latest Lemmy software version. You might have ran into that when you attempted to sign up
I’ve unsubscribed from all the politics communities. The app the I use (Sync) has content filters so you can filter out post titles that contain the names of certain individuals that I don’t want to hear about
Outset Island from Wind Waker. I used to leave the game on to just take in the music and ocean sounds
I guess you could flip it around and make the bottom the top 🙃
I have a gigabit internet plan with Comcast , cost me $80 a month. And yes there is a 1.2tb data cap each month. Every 50gb that you go over, you are automatically charged an additional $10. Oh I’ll just choose another ISP…nope Comcast is the only option in my town. Not unless I want 5G cell Internet or satellite which is not super reliable or fast.
They are probably 256gb drives that show up in the OS as 4tb. When you start writing files over the actual capacity of the drive , it will just start overwriting the initial files that you put on there.
Good thing Amazon has a good return policy
