You should listen to Dark Lotus. It’s basically required listening. It’s a real shame that Dark Lotus is done and almost no chance of a reunion. Members changed, but ICP and Twiztid were the heart and that reunion is probably not happening.

The f slur was 100% used like that in the 90s. I’m not saying that no one used it in a bigoted way though. In my school growing up, there was a lot of that word and if you thought something was dumb, you said it was gay. It wasn’t until way later that kids, likely as adults, reflected on how messed up that was and what the words might mean to others. So maybe it’s really regional, but I understood where that episode was coming from because I 100% used that word in school in the 90s and there was not a single time that I was ever using it with hate. And it was wrong, but we were ignorant kids. The dolphin thing, well I got nothing for that. I thought the n word persecution thing though was meant to be making fun of people that actually felt that way. That those people were the joke. But maybe I’m off as that’s just my interpretation.

Have whatever opinion you want about the shows, but it’s disingenuous to say “only attacking the underprivileged with any real heat”. The poor and underprivileged Scientology, Catholic Church, Christianity as a whole, Kanye West, Donald Trump, etc. I think it’s fair to say those topics got raked across the coals. Sure, maybe if you count everything up, it’s lopsided, but South Park 100% has torn into topics other than underprivileged people. They literally are in the middle of a storyline where Trump is the new Saddam Hussein.

Take some time and figure yourself out. I saw your other post about this and I think you need to do some reflection on what you want and don’t want in a relationship. Once you figure that out, look for that. Be up front about it in future relationships.

I think you just said the thing I was trying to find in my comments. There’s no real payoff. It goes nowhere.

To hate the main character? Flawed characters are one thing, it’s another to show how the character fucks up the lives of everyone around her and she walks away smiling from it all as she basically fucks her way out of trouble. It’s been years since I watched it so I might not remember exactly, but even her family doesn’t really turn on her in the end.

Weeds. The show is ultimately so unsatisfying. I hated the main character by the end. Seemingly immune to any real consequences.

More finishes would be very welcome. For me, it’s all about the ending.

I think that game is getting more coverage because it did release on the same day as silk song. I didn’t even know Atari was working on this and now I’ve heard about it in several articles.

Carnival of Carnage I feel is a bold choice. There’s definitely some good shit on there, but Carnival and Ringmaster I think that ICP was really still trying to find their identity. But that’s my opinion and yours is yours. The Wraith: Shangri-la is actually the first ICP album that I bought. When I was in school, my parents were really strict about music and what I could buy. So before that point I got my ICP and Twiztid from friends at school through burned CDs and the very slow downloading of random MP3s. So Shangri-la and Hell’s Pit hold a special place with me.
