Friendly reminder that treason against the Constitution can be punished by death, and plenty of people in power seem hell bent on being treasonous against the Constitution.

Does authoring an executive order explicitly calling out a right granted to you by the Constitution and saying it no longer applies count as treason against the Constitution? More importantly, is it possible to actually bring a president to trial for doing that?

He wasn’t even president when found guilty of so many crimes and they still let him go. That country is a joke and its rules mean nothing.

Friendly reminder that treason consists of giving aid and comfort to the enemy, not whatever heinous shit Trump does to violate the Constitution.

I feel an attempted coup falls under treason… but hey what do I know it could be a great way to get reelected.

I read wikipedia and as judge in this case I deem treason correct, however it is noteworthy that it also says in the article:

The federal crime is defined in the Constitution (and is the only crime defined by it) as either levying war against the United States or adhering to its enemies, and carries a sentence of death or imprisonment and fine.

To me, a coup should be covered under adhering to it’s enemies if not the first too

One could argue that Trump is aiding Putin. There’s been more than a couple happy coincidences that have benefited Daddy Vladdy.

The US legal system is based on malum prohibitum, so after a quick scan for laws relating to curling irons in anuses, I’d argue the curling iron up Trumps rear is not in itself explicitely illegal.
