The next step is stripping people of citizenship for being a political adversary, regardless of when or where or how they got citizenship.
Oh I think now would be a great time for people to brush up on the Patriot Act and corresponding laws. There’s a reason why politicians don’t call other politicians terrorists.
They don’t have to strip anything. Just classify someone as a terrorist. It’s been legal for years.
We’re already well past this. He wants to strip any citizen of their rights and their very citizenship simply on his say so. 25 million naturalized citizens? Deported. Political rival elected in a free and fair election? Deported. If he wants someone gone, he’s going to find a reason. Even if your family has been here since the country was founded.
The immigration secret police now has more funding than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA, & others combined. The only group better funded than ICE Is the US military, and Trump as the Commander and Chief of that military has already has a track record of sending soldiers after US citizens on American soil. Just imagine what pumping this new round of cash into his new private army is going to do.

I don’t follow the US politics to that degree, but do they not yet? The Swedish government is collaborating with the far right who considers even half of all people with a single foreign born parent (that is, legal or not, EU or not) to be part of the “replacement” that is, in their view, taking place, and need to go. So it is a kind of a common thing here.
According to an amendment to the US Constitution that was added after the Civil War anyone born on US soil under the jurisdiction of the United States is a natural born citizen. There is no legitimate legal framework that allows for the deportation of a natural born citizen.
Edit: The US also has no legitimate legal framework to strip a natural born citizen of their citizenship but Trump is trying to do that as well.
