By Murkowski’s own admission, her party’s megabill — the inaptly named One Big Beautiful Bill Act — was a mess. She told reporters she didn’t the like the bill; she considered it unfinished; she insisted the bill was “not ready for the president’s desk”; and she declared publicly that the legislation was “not good enough” for the American public.

Murkowski then voted for it anyway, hoping that House Republicans would make necessary changes. They soon after said they wouldn’t even try to improve the package, making the Alaskan’s gamble look even worse.

The senator told her local newspaper the White House’s policy “just pulls the rug out from underneath the deal” she’d made.

    Even if she is telling the truth, then that just means she’s REALLY bad at her job, because it seems like this is her reaction EVERY GODDAMN TIME

      Her and Susan Collins with their “oopsie… I fell for it again” routine. I don’t know who it’s for at this point, but they’re both still in office so I guess it’s working.

    Oh, boo fucking hoo. You got multiple “fuck you, I got mine” deals, apparently didn’t bother to check what was in it, knew it was still a pile of shit from what you did see, and voted for it anyway. Why exactly are we supposed to feel sympathy here?

        At least she can pass the bar. Remember Boebert had to go back and get her GED in her thirties for some reason before the 2020 election. Getting a GED doesnt tell your constituents you are intelligent, so I’m not sure why she didnt just skip it.

        For non-U.S. people, a GED is what you get if you didn’t pass highschool (secondary school)

      It’s all for show. She can try to say she didn’t want to vote for it in the next election cycle when it’s brought up. She was just a victim.

    I, for one, feel tremendous empathy for this crone who knew exactly what harm she was voting for because it’s really tough being in the spotlight showing that you’re a terrible piece of shit. Oh, wait… no I don’t.
