What I mean?

Okay. I have an Android, but my dad has an iphone. He also has an airtag. From time to time, my phone will notify me about an unknown tracker. But that’s my dad’s tracker. So I think it would be nice if I could somehow “save” this particular airtag so I won’t be notified about it. What do you think?

As far as I understand the trackers broadcast an id that changes every so often, that is so a tracker can’t be uniquely identified and tracked by a 3rd party. That means that your android phone can’t tell if it’s detecting the same tracker twice or two different trackers

This was for the period when google hasn’t released a built in tracker detector and there were issues with stalking on Android. If you notice the app hasn’t been updated in years

Yeah but it’s also made by Apple, presumably it would handle their tags better.

Replace the airtag with a chipolo - iOS and android support and you can “share” the tag with other people for exactly this reason.
