I feel like there could be a funny (well, funnier) version of this,

Yeah, my first job was under a bridge and now millions of people are seeing me on social media every day

Jokes are funnier to people if you let them fill in a missing detail or two, actually saying “troll” makes it a bit too obvious

Also, he should be trying to flirt and she should look bored out of her mind, because magical creatures with mundane problems (like bad dates) has been funny since before Shrek

Yeah my first job was under a bridg, not bad decent pay and few regular costumers, but since I got the opportunity to work remote, business is booming, millions of costumers and you can get some really high paying gigs.

Could’ve been made a fun joke if it was delivered with a proper setup and punchline. This is just an amusing observation without any interesting delivery.

Not sure the intention of emphasizing the words “used” and “these”. Doesn’t make the comic funnier the slightest.

The joke is the person he’s sitting with, who is a modern day troll.

It would be funnier if the bridge troll was like “those guys have ruined analog trolling”

Edited to add: thanks for making this just one panel, there’s a really annoying webcomic trend where everything needs 4 panels. It just draws the joke out needlessly. Brevity is the soul of wit.

Not terrible, but the wording could be a bit less obvious. Maybe drop a working remotely joke in there.

It’s not funny to me. It gives me a real “1980s standup comedian” feeling, if that makes sense. Like it was written by someone who is funny, but very out of touch

Seems highly unoriginal and low effort to me. This is like first Shrek movie level humor. Clever for about five seconds.

A troll is someone who baits other posters with mischevious to malicious intent for the lols. The last point is very important. Trolls are anarchic chaotic neutral creatures. Spreading misinfornation is not trolling. It is plain evil.

isn’t it about the artist/writer rather than being on web or print or whatever other media?

Are any comics ever funny? I don’t think they’re supposed to be. They’re simply meant to entertain.
