You’re right, it doesn’t actually. I don’t disagree with that. But I have heard recruiters lying to children with some hideous lies that heavily imply that it’s baaaaasically a guarantee etc.

Serving in the military does actually have an expedited path to naturalization. https://www.uscis.gov/military/naturalization-through-military-service

There should be a time limit on this sort of thing. There’s a time limit on bringing most criminal charges. There’s even a time limit on property ownership disputes.
