I agree that we’re fucked up beyond belief in the States. If the matter is forfeiting our wealth for free, yeah, it’s going to give up our economic security… but it’s not going to make us better off. I know it’s disheartening to believe in Democrats because they’re also harvesting money from private interests (or making big money in the stock exchange with prior knowledge of events to unfold), but Republican sentiment is now, “burn everything to the ground”, which doesn’t sound bad until you realize that the new government will be the same old white guys that abused us before, but WAY more powerful.
