OliveSheepOPto dailygames@lemmy.zip•Piñones - July 15, 2025 - Much kinder as an initialism1·15 days agoI’m not trying to be kind here, but a time under three minutes on a 12-letter puzzle is very good. A twelve-letter anagram, even with some letters given, is hard to solve! In the next wave of additions, I do want to add a “hint” button to normal mode though, with the intention of making the scramble a bit more palatable!
Oh, I do like that! In an effort to keep the title slightly more relevant (at least loosely) to the answer, perhaps something like >!Mind the boar, Neo!< - >!they seem to have wild boars and one called the banded pig is native there!<
That is, I suppose your title could be relevant should you not find it overly exciting 😅
I struggled a bit with a title for this one for sure. I’m hoping something hits me later on to go back and edit it, but I did learn some neat stats about it from Wikipedia yesterday!

Woohoo! Congrats on your first solve, and a great time as well!!
OliveSheepOPto dailygames@lemmy.zip•[New and Improved!] Piñones - June 25, 2025 - An OK solution2·1 month ago[Answer paraphrased from the dev so apologies if I use terms incorrectly] The game is built in Flutter (which would help us move to this being in app stores later down the line) and Flutter isn’t like traditional web and doesn’t use HTML and CSS, and instead relies on a custom library, which is canvaskit and wasm. I believe that’s what you’re likely seeing is that custom library for the pixel rendering :)
OliveSheepOPto dailygames@lemmy.zip•[New and Improved!] Piñones - June 25, 2025 - An OK solution2·1 month agoThanks, Squirrel! I’m hoping to add one feature to normal mode to help make it a little easier, but all depends if we can get it done by Friday! If not, will have to wait until I can squeeze more development time but fingers crossed!
Hmm, that’s an odd one. Do you get any sort of error? Does anything load at all or does it just spin in “everload” mode?

OliveSheepOPto dailygames@lemmy.zip•Piñones (hard) - June 15, 2025 - Ill-advised bartering technique in underground market2·2 months agoHappy Father’s Day, Nusm! :) My two-year-old is still figuring out what special days are and keeps wishing me a Happy Mother’s Day 😅
Yeah this is the reason! I try to give a Mr. or Ms., such as Mr. Willis for Bruce Willis, but since this they’re French I opted for “M.”

4 vertical was: “Ms. White, drummer from The White Stripes” :)

OliveSheepOPto dailygames@lemmy.zip•Piñones - June 9, 2025 - Maid, Will you Tuck in my Little Son?1·2 months agoI often go for a loose pun for the title, but this time I tried more of a scattershot of association with >!the merry men: Maid Marian, Will Scarlet, Friar Tuck, Little John, and Much the Miller’s Son!< - hopefully not too left field!
OliveSheepOPto dailygames@lemmy.zip•Piñones - June 9, 2025 - Maid, Will you Tuck in my Little Son?1·2 months agoYeah it was 2 across I was curious about. I have done roman numerals in the past without much complaint, but was interested to see how this could go because strictly speaking they are numbers!

OliveSheepOPto dailygames@lemmy.zip•Piñones (hard) - June 8, 2025 - Snakeskin and bones2·2 months agoThis happens on mobile for larger puzzles at the moment, definitely a bug that’s on the docket to fix! Looks like you did find the ultimate the solution though, which is switching to desktop!
Whenever and wherever possible ;)
I was going for >!spoiler spoiler the snooze button being a common trope for the same routine of being late in the morning, plus if something is the same old story then it puts one to sleep!<.
I tried to copy and paste your spoiler block so hopefully it works better this time!
