Absolutely agreed, it was nice to have your daily websites that you’d visit every day to check in for different stuff. They each had their own personality, design, content, niche. It was a much more fun experience and discovering new websites was amazing.

Interesting, I’ve used the dev chart to develop K400 and I thought they were fine, what developer are you using? Although, maybe they are getting overdeveloped and I just don’t see it.

Kentmere is great for price, agreed on the low contrast but I was ok with that, easy to fix in post and sometimes I liked the “neutral” look of the shots, however I was getting very dirty scratched negatives from it. Clearly that is my fault, but I thought I was being careful with them and it doesn’t happen to me with other films so I’ve switched to Fomapan.

FP4 is beautiful, I shoot Fomapan for price, but FPR is amazing. I don’t shoot a lot of very long exposures so didn’t know about those issues with Fomapan, a shame. So what you’re saying is, it is not consistent with long exposures? Like, several long exposures that are exactly the same result in different film reactions?

Never heard of Lucky 200, will search for it. Got any photos you shot on it to share?

I’m thinking a lot of the equipment is different as well, and since they mention simulating equipment malfunctions, that plays an important part, especially with the additional limitations/simulated dangers.

I guess that depends on what you consider reasonable. I figure if they’re starting with simulations such as this now, it’s reasonable to expect an actual manned mission in maybe 20 years.

Really interesting read and cool to be able to see the exact gear and settings that were used for each shot. The portraits seem super bland to me but I guess that’s what you want for such things, very vanilla, very clean. Thanks for sharing.

I’m just one user, but for what it’s worth, I would rather have my “mod” options separate from the sites’s settings, it makes it clear which ones are “official” and which ones are on my end. RES did it this way and I think it worked well. I’m not saying RES is any sort of model to follow, but it’s been developed for a long time so there is precedent that others had the same idea.

What an excellent idea and implementation (as far as I can understand it). It makes so much sense to put everyone’s efforts into a “suite” and create a super customizable user experience. I can’t wait to try this and I hope all of you talented peeps get on board with it.

It fails at respecting my screen’s orientation lock on Android, so when in bed it kept rotating to landscape and that was extremely annoying, so had to remove it.
