If you just go by sales numbers, I think they had the top selling car from mid 2010s-now. Given the EV market is still growing, I think it’s fair to call them a first mover.
For comparison BYD, another long term player and leader in the EV space, took 17 years to turn a profit (if I’m reading their wiki right).
That seems like an unfair comparison. Tesla played a huge role in creating the consumer EV market and I imagine had to bear the burden of a lot of R&D costs. I’m sure Xiaomi is doing R&D, but they’re entering a more mature market with existing supply chains and known paths to success that they can lean on.

Yeah, everytime I hear her age I do a double take. First that’s just a young age to be dealing with all of that, but also it seems to have aged her by over a decade.
I mean a big difference there is that the switch can only play games that run on it. There are going to be games that don’t run on the steam machine (or at least we’ll), just as there aren’t games that run on the steamdeck.
I think it will still do well, but that’s a big difference between the switches approach to low power vs the steam machine.
Valve didn’t make Fex, and while it’s a compatibility layer, that doesn’t mean it runs everything.
Just look at Proton and you can see after years (and focusing exclusively on games) it’s still not near 100%.
In the US I think it’s mostly done by a “point” system. Certain kinds of infractions, like speeding, can give you points and enough would lead to loosing you license.
However, the site mentioned in the post seems to just be about parking and camera tickets/infractions. Since cameras can’t really “give” a ticket, I don’t believe you get points from them. Additionally, camera violations are weird in the US as they’ll sometimes get you for going only slightly over the speed limit or stopping over the line at a red light (so not always a fair representation).

Yeah, I know that can be an issue with comparing across countries. I know in the US we tend to count the surroundomg suburbs in these metrics, while that is less common elsewhere.

I mean the original controller had gryo, track pads, USB dongle and Bluetooth, haptics, and buttons on the back.
However, I do agree the controller felt cheap (I think really just how light it was).

The original steam controller was $50, I would hope they’d be able to keep it under $100.

This seems really similar to the crtv vs HD TV issue with old games. When shown in the proper format it definitely looks a lot better.
