It is likely to be released next year, according to some sources that were also completely accurate about the Oblivion remake rumors.

Game studios don’t only work on one game at a time, especially not big studios like Bethesda.
I don’t think they have a good idea for ES6 and they know it’ll be a disappointment so they aren’t in a rush to put it out there
